I am sorry to report that after all the efforts to promote sustainable transportation in Delray Beach has failed. Today our own board member as voted to reject the use of bicycle powered pedicabs in downtown delray. Newly elected commissioner Jim Chard was the first to vote against a trial program to test the use of pedal powered bikes in downtown Delray. This sends a shock wave to our community and to all the hundreds of people who have supported the pedicabs as a true sustainable form of short run transportation.
